In electric power plants, safe and reliable fluid control systems are key to ensuring continuity of energy production and optimizing performance. Pneumatic high temperature ball valve, as an important technology in the field of fluid control, has been widely used in coal, nuclear and biomass power plants because of its good heat resistance, fast response ability and low maintenance requirements.
Project background
With the increase of operation years, the valve in the original steam pipeline system began to fail frequently, especially under high temperature and high pressure conditions such as boiler feed water system, steam reheater and main steam pipeline. Due to the frequent thermal expansion and cold contraction of the original valve, the sealing surface is damaged and the leakage rate is increased, which seriously affects the power generation efficiency and safety.
Solution
In order to solve the above problems, the power plant decided to introduce pneumatic high-temperature ball valves to replace the original valves with higher failure rates. The main reason for choosing pneumatic high temperature ball valves is that they use special high temperature resistant materials and advanced sealing technology, which can maintain good sealing performance and operational stability at temperatures up to 550°C and pressures up to 15MPa. In addition, the pneumatic actuator enables fast opening and closing with short response time, which is suitable for application scenarios requiring emergency closing or frequent switching.
Implementation process
1. Evaluation and selection: The engineer team conducted a detailed evaluation of the key fluid control points of the power plant and determined the specific location and number of valves that need to be replaced. Based on the operating temperature, pressure grade and medium characteristics, the suitable pneumatic high temperature ball valve model is selected.
2, installation and commissioning: During the shutdown and maintenance, professionals replace the valve on the selected pipeline segment, while strictly testing the tightness and function of the newly installed pneumatic high temperature ball valve to ensure the compatibility and reliability of the valve and pipeline system.
3. Training and maintenance: In order to ensure long-term operation efficiency, the power plant has trained relevant operators on the operation and maintenance of pneumatic high temperature ball valves, including daily inspection process, common troubleshooting methods and preventive maintenance strategies.
Application effect
Since its installation, the fluid control system in the coal-fired power plant has significantly improved stability and safety. Specific results include:
1, leakage rate reduction: the sealing performance of the new ball valve is much better than that of the old valve, which significantly reduces the leakage rate of the steam and water supply system and reduces the energy loss.
2, maintenance cost reduction: Due to the durability of pneumatic high temperature ball valves, the frequency of maintenance and replacement of valves is significantly reduced, thereby reducing the overall maintenance cost.
3, operation efficiency: The fast response pneumatic actuator improves the flexibility and reaction speed of the entire fluid control system, which helps to optimize the energy utilization efficiency in the power generation process.
