Butterfly valve installation and maintenance precautions

Transportation and storage: butterfly valve in the process of handling, the two sealing surface should be protected to prevent damage.

The butterfly valve should be stored in a rain-proof, dust-proof and dry place, so that the butterfly plate is open 5°-10°, and covered to prevent debris from entering the sealing surface.

Precautions for installation and use: Before installation, check whether the specifications, pressure, temperature and corrosion resistance of the butterfly valve meet the requirements. All parts should be checked for damage or loosening.

Butterfly valve can be installed on any Angle of the pipeline, should be closed installation is appropriate; When welding pipe flanges, the valve sealing port should be blocked with a plate to prevent particles and debris from bruising the sealing surface.

After welding, remove the valve, clean the sealing surface of the valve and the inner cavity of the pipeline, and then install the fixed valve.

Pay attention to the direction of pressure when the valve is closed.

Before installation, the sealing surface (both ends of the sealing surface, butterfly sealing surface, seat sealing surface) should be thoroughly wiped clean, remove dust and dirt.

Before installation, the butterfly valve should be air-tested. The opening and closing position should be flexible, and the opening and closing position should be consistent with the pointer indicating position.

Manual operation clockwise is closed, counterclockwise is open, after the pointer is in place, do not apply force to open and close the valve.

Valve pressure test, do not use single flange installation pressure test, must use double flange installation pressure test.

When tightening bolts, tighten them symmetrically and alternately. Do not tighten them separately in turn.

Limit screw before leaving factory, has been adjusted, not easily adjusted.

The opening and closing stroke of the control mechanism has been adjusted when the electric butterfly valve leaves the factory. In order to prevent the wrong direction when the power is switched on, the user should manually open the power to the half-open position before the first time, then press the dot switch, and check that the direction of the indicator disc is consistent with the direction of the valve.

If the valve opening and closing is abnormal, the cause should be found out for repair and elimination, so as to prevent the valve from being damaged by the method of afterburning.
