What is a butterfly valve

Butterfly valve is a simple structure of the regulating valve, but also can be used for low pressure large diameter regulation.

Butterfly valves can be used to control air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil and other media.

2. Working principle:

The opening and closing part of the butterfly valve is a disc-shaped butterfly plate (composed of two symmetrical disks). A pin shaft perpendicular to the shaft line and integrated with the plate is installed on each side of the plate base plate. By rotating the handwheel or handle, the moving ring rotates inward and drives the disc seat to rotate together to realize the opening and closing action.

3. Application field:

It is suitable for the occasions where the pressure is not high and the flow is large in the petroleum industry; It is also suitable for cutting off general industrial pipelines such as gas pipelines and waterways in chemical plants. Also suitable for high temperature and high voltage power station pipeline system; In addition, it can also be used as a valve in metallurgical machinery, food and medicine, water supply and drainage and municipal construction.
