Valve commonly used sealing materials are mainly the following:
1, NBR butyl rubber
Excellent oil resistance, high wear resistance, good heat resistance, strong adhesion. Its disadvantages are poor low temperature resistance, poor ozone resistance, poor electrical properties, and slightly lower elasticity.
2, EPDM EPDM EPDM rubber
The most important characteristic of EPDM is its superior oxidation resistance, ozone resistance and erosion resistance. Epdm rubber belongs to the polyolefin family, it has excellent vulcanization characteristics.
3. PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene
Polytetrafluoroethylene has strong chemical resistance, resistance to most oils and solvents (except ketones and esters), weather resistance, ozone resistance are good, but cold resistance is poor.
Step 4 Cast iron
Description: Cast iron is used for water, gas and oil and other media with temperature ≤100℃ and nominal pressure ≤1.6mpa.
5. Nickel-based alloy
Description: Nickel-based alloy is used for pipelines with temperature -70~150℃ and engineering pressure PN≤20.5mpa.
6. Copper alloy
Copper alloy has good wear resistance and is suitable for water and steam pipelines with temperature ≤200℃ and nominal pressure PN≤1.6mpa.
7. Chrome stainless steel
Chromium stainless steel commonly used grades are 2Cr13, 3Cr13, after tempering treatment, good corrosion resistance. Commonly used in the temperature ≤450℃, nominal pressure PN≤3.2mpa water, steam and oil and other media valves.
8. Chrome-nickel titanium stainless steel
Chromium nickel titanium stainless steel commonly used grade 1Cr18Ni9ti, its corrosion resistance, erosion resistance and heat resistance is better. Suitable for steam, nitric acid and other media with temperature ≤600℃ and nominal pressure ≤6.4mpa.
